Hard to think of summer with all this rain, but the Crissy Field Center is hosting a Summer Camp open house tomorrow from 10am-1pm at its beautiful new, sustainably designed home-base at 1199 East Beach Drive in the Presidio (just in from Marina Blvd). It's a chance to meet camp staff, learn about the great outdoor experiences kids have and register for your favorite session early. Plus there’s plenty of financial aid (more than 40% all spaces are reserved for scholarships), so come check it out. The Center’s two-week camps are open to kids entering grades 1 through 6 in the fall of 2010. Visit www.crissyfield.org/camps or call 415-561-7762 to learn more. …and if you can’t make it tomorrow, there will be “last chance” preview on Sat. May 15 (same time & place) Enjoy, Sue

Darn economy! I',ve had to drop a day at work thus our childcare provider , Angelica, is looking for extra work 1 day per week. Angelica is available 1day per week (Wednesday, Thursday or Friday) and some evenings, charges $15/hr (worth every penny!), is infant CPR certified, and does light housework during nap time (not part of our contract with her but she does it anyway). If you are a stay at home parent thinking about needing a day to yourself this may be the perfect answer for you! Angelica is especially enamored , and skilled, with infants and will provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for your child. Angelica speaks primarily spanish. Angelica has been with our daughter since she was 4 mos old and now, at 17 months, her vocabulary is bilingual. Needless, to say our daughter absolutely adores 'Aicha'. Angelica is known in our nanny community on Potrero Hill and can provide excellent references. Please feel free to call me (Gitane: 415-624-9727) or respond to this posting and I will provide more info and pass along Angelica's phone number. Thanks! Gitane

I am a long time resident of Potrero Hill, part time stay at home mom, and available for childcare in my home 2 days per week. We live 2 blocks from Jackson Park and have memberships to museums and play spaces around the city. We have a large back yard, child friendly deck, and play room filled with carefully collected toys and books. We believe in serving only wholesome, fresh, and organic snacks and meals in our home. If more practical, I am open to spending part of the day in your home, as well. In addition, to my own child, I have extensive experience in childcare and mentoring children of all ages. It would be great fun to care for another child or two of similar age to play with our daughter, Coco. However, I am open to all ages. If interested please call or email to talk or set up a time to meet: 415-624-9727 or gitane_royce@yahoo.com Cheers! Gitane
